What is PNR?

The ticket of an Indian Railways train consists of a 10 digit number. This number on the ticket is called PNR. PNR is called (acronym) Passenger Name Record. The PNR is generated when you book a train from IRCTC.

How to check IRCTC PNR status online

If you go and check your PNR Status online, it would show you few status:

Current status –

PNR Status would be WL, if your ticket is on the Waiting List. Status would be CNF, if the ticket is confirmed . The status will be RAC, if the ticket has Reservation Against Cancellation.
